D.Power Construction was asked to provide further play equipment to a primary school in Bolton. A natural “look” was required for the equipment. 2 Blackboards were supplied and recessed on marine plywood to make them weather proof. The first blackboard was mounted and surrounded in timber and concreted into the ground, the second was mounted on tanalised timber and was positioned on the floor so the children could sit as they drew. A 3 sided open walled canopy area for the children to sit and play under was also required. 4 large tree trunks were concreted into the ground and large branches were then positioned to create open walls. Smaller branches and twigs was then secured and put onto the top of the frame to provide a open roof shelter. Another large tree trunk was also secured between 2 trees and supported with another trunk to provide a base for the children to hang their work on.
